This is a therapist-facilitated support group designed specifically for queer adults who feel worn down by political anxiety, family dynamics, and an uncertain world. We will use art and your choice of creative project to process, grow connection, build confidence, and cultivate resilience.
TBD 6:30pm in West Seattle
You feel exhausted in ways that are hard to explain
You may find yourself struggling to feel grounded, connected, or calm due to:
❋Political stress
❋Unsupportive family dynamics
❋Ongoing societal tension
This group exists for that reality. You don’t have to stay stuck in isolation and constant anxiety.
This is a therapist-facilitated 6-week lgbtq+ support group that uses creativity, shared experience, and consistent connection to help you feel empowered and less alone in an unstable world.
Who This LGBTQ+ Support Group is For
Political unrest, loneliness, and conflict are all things that can make you feel a sense of powerlessness. This group is for queer adults who:
❋Feel chronically exhausted, anxious, or on edge.
❋Carry stress related to politics, family, or social environments that do not feel safe.
❋Want connection without pressure to perform, explain, or justify themselves.
❋Desire to explore using creativity with others as a way to grow confidence and connection in your queer identity
How Art and Creating Help
Did you know that creating with your hands does more than pass the time? It changes how your body and brain respond to stress.
When you are anxious, overwhelmed, or constantly on edge, your mind stays busy scanning for danger. Making art slows that process down. Your attention shifts from worry to what is in front of you. Your breathing steadies. Your body settles.
This gives your brain a break from constant alertness.
Art & Hands-On Creating Have Been Shown To…
❋Lower Stress and Anxiety
❋Help You Feel More Present & Grounded
❋Improve Mood
❋Build Self-Worth
❋Strengthen Problem Solving Skills
❋Increase Focus and Regulation
Why Creating Together Builds Resilience
Resilience is not about being strong all the time. It is about being able to stay engaged with life even when things feel hard.
Creating alongside other people helps with that
When you make something next to others
❋You Do Not Have To Perform Or Explain Yourself
❋Connection Happens Naturally, Without Pressure
❋Asking For Help And Offering Ideas Builds Confidence
❋Shared Focus Makes Being Together Feel Easier
Over time, this builds trust, familiarity, and a sense that you are not facing the world alone. That is resilience in practice.
Political anxiety and social stress often come from feeling powerless and overwhelmed.
Creating offers something different

Insurance will not be billed for this group. Insurance companies require formal diagnoses, proof of medical necessity, extensive documentation, and separate clinical notes for each participant, which in this climate can feel unnecessarily invasive and require sharing information raising confidentiality concerns. Additionally, insurance coverage and copays can vary widely and may not consistently cover group services. Offering a lower private-pay rate per participant allows for greater accessibility, transparency, and financial predictability for everyone involved.
